One day, I was putting together a sample basket for a potential supplier. It was going great until I decided to use a fancy satin ribbon to give it that extra wow factor. I tied the perfect bow, stepped back to admire my work, and suddenly—the ribbon started unraveling like it had a mind of its own! Before I could grab it, it uncoiled like a snake and knocked over a whole pile of tissue paper. Cue the dramatic slow-motion attempt to stop the mess. Lesson learned: double knot your ribbons, or they might betray you!

A Customer’s “Unique” Request

I love getting custom order requests, but sometimes they can be… unexpected. One time, a customer asked for a ‘breakup recovery basket.’ No problem, right? Until they specified that they wanted it to include a dartboard with their ex’s picture on it. I had to politely explain that we don’t provide personalized revenge kits, but I did offer them a self-care basket with chocolates and a cozy blanket instead. Thankfully, they loved the idea (and hopefully, they didn’t take up archery in the meantime).

The Auto-Correct Disaster

Marketing my business online has been a journey full of trial and error, but nothing beats the time my phone’s auto-correct turned a simple promotional post into something…well, a little too spicy. I meant to write, “Surprise your loved ones with a handcrafted basket full of joy and treats.” But somehow, auto correct decided to change it to, “Surprise your loved ones with a handcuffed basket full of joy and treats.” The worst part? I didn’t notice for hours. Needless to say, that post got a lot of attention, and my inbox was suddenly filled with very confused (and curious) customers!

The Mystery of the Missing Basket

There was a time when I was preparing for a product shoot, and I had the perfect basket ready to go. I turned around to grab my camera, and poof it was gone. I searched everywhere, retraced my steps, and even started questioning my memory. After 20 minutes of panic, I found it… in my neighbor’s yard! Turns out, a gust of wind had carried my lightweight basket over the fence, and their dog had adopted it as a new chew toy. Moral of the story? Always weigh down your baskets, or nature might just claim them.
